Wheelbarrow Race 2020 (Rules & Information)

Fundraising Events

Once again, we invite you to throw off the covers and the hangovers on New Year’s Day
and welcome the New Year with a wheelbarrow race around our local Hampton Park
green to raise funds for charity starting at 1200.

This a fancy dress event and we hope that all who wish to participate will don fancy dress
and decorate their wheelbarrow for the race. Wheelbarrows are kindly loaned to us for the
event can be made available should you require one but please let us know in advance.

The purpose of this is primarily about having fun, raising a few pennies for charity and
starting the New Year in a positive and enjoyable way within our local community so
please come and participate, help or spectate.

We would very much like to encourage teams to be sponsored to race and sponsorship
forms are available to download online from www.harveywarrentrust.co.uk where the
rules are also available.

There will be a prize for best dressed team and wheelbarrow, for the winning team and for
the team collecting the most sponsorship as well as medals for all.

We will be serving up a chilli, hot dogs and refreshments in the Pavilion afterwards to
help refuel where a raffle will also be held with fantastic prizes kindly donated by local
businesses including family days out and meals in local restaurants amongst others.
We look forward to this being another success and for all to have a great time.
